got bored this weekend and decided to mess with my old mk1 cag i took the exhaust off and noticed how small the exit was on the barrel so i decided to attack it with the dremmel and a file. i opened it up as much as i dared and raised the exhaust port a few mm or so, i then took a round file to the inlet ports and put a good groove (file was 5mm round)to the rear of the port also raising that on each by a bit i also filed the bottom of the barrel and used wet and dry to try and increase the squish, by the look of it the squish was best part of 3mm before. i cleaned all the burrs with wet and dry oiled it all up and wondered how long it would run for if at all. ;D ;D ;D would you believe it started straight away and it was much more throttle responsive and now my daughter says its got more grunt and revs than my big bore" got all the parts you can buy" air cooled gp3 rep i built would you believe it. i know this is not the way to do it but these bits are so cheap and i was bored if it broke or i buggered it up so what.
