does anyone have a rule for a standard gp3 rep clutch on where the nuts should be on the threadfor a decent biting point?. as per my last post and moan, mine was biting late in my opinion and even with the nuts on the end of the threads it still seemed too late.

Gp3 design was on high rev clutch engaging, since they have small bore (36 insted of 37 for a b1) and long stroke (39 insted of 37), they not realy use a big low rev torque boost (phaty pipe) like other replica, its more on HP head and fine port timming that match the exaust design too. so you need to adjust it high for the slipping torque match the torque when stop slipping, i read somewhere the best setting was around 9500 rpm. having a light flywheel was exactly in this idea of high rev clutch setting, also. so whit stock gear ratio you need to go 45kmh before the clutch stop splipping, pretty fast. personnaly i go it roling at 8500 rpm whit 24.7mm of adjustement, BUT the small concrate track never alow me to see if was pulling right. so why i setup it to 25mm stock... but i dont chk my tachymeter because it feel perfect and too much ppls on track. him not a clutch gurou, i dont even know if the adjustement will change the RPM or the way it slipping under different load. hep ? note you chk form the pads bolt to the end of the spring, not the spacer, but betwen them. note2, its all my personnal setting, they may differ and need adjustement since pads wearing, ect... there maybe a better way to go. does anyone have a rule for a standard gp3 rep clutch on where the nuts should be on the threadfor a decent biting point?. as per my last post and moan, mine was biting late in my opinion and even with the nuts on the end of the threads it still seemed too late.

i binned the rep springs and fitted soft polini ones (blue) and their rod kit as well , the rep springs had extra spacers in which i also binned , got it bitting at 6000 ish to bed shoes in with no probs and now it's at about 7500 , almost bedded in , but i haven't used it for a bit now.

im going to play with my clutch once i get it running again personally i still think it bites too late. im not into racing just want to play with it. so i think i will fit soft springs then use a tacho to see whats happening. if it still slips on high revs then ill add weight to the rear of the shoes the shoes feel too ligh to me compared to others. im not too worried about bogging it down a bit. im just fed up of eating clutches

i used my gp3 rep for 3 15mmin sessions with it biting real soon and gradually increased after each session but still not quite bedded in (chinky clutch but with polini springs and pin kit)
