Does your choke turn off properly? It sounds like there might be too much of something going into the engine, which would explain the sluggish start. I had this with my TZR50, and it was just becuase the choke was slightly on. Also, whats your spark like?

yeah, have followed advice on choke. have got one fibre washer on choke which lifts it just enough to cover o ring, bike stalls if ya try and lift choke when warm.spark is good, running ngk b9 plug.plug is black after session but not wet and oily.

silly question but maybe the plug is fouling under high load on acceleration, do you have the rep coil pack or has that been replaced yet?

a little problem i think i need to ad is my gp3 throttle cable was routed wrong in my opinion it was very tight around the frame, when i fired her up i could controll the revs by steering the bike . very wierd. re routing the cable sorted that. a mate of mine also had the same problem on a 911 rep he bought off ebay. aparently he got it home started it up and it took down the drive and smacked into the back of his van smashing the fairing to pieces. i can see it now riderless accelerating faster than a r1 lol

When i got my minimoto, the throttle slide wasnt attached to the throttle!
How big is your main jet ninja? Is your fuel filter working correctly? If its the standard one i recommend changing it! Is your fuel tap ok?

Hi, coil is genuine polini, have changed fuel filter and checked tap. I did ring scott last week, he said leave needle alone and screw in mixture screw.I did this but only got a change when mixture screw was all the way in. I might try and borrow another carb to try,or maybe get it on a dyno to check out. Its only a low rev prob as when on the gas its really quick. Thanks for all replies. ps Great site with loads off good info.

Ninjanut it maybe just because of the state of tune that it's bogging down , once you get the clutch bedded in so it bits just as the powers coming in , i think it will be ok , mine was like that but seems to fuel ok when it's singing ;-)

Had bike on exhaust tester yesterday, showed bike running rich. Was advised to go smaller with pilot jet and lower needle half a groove.Done needle, jet coming this week. Hopefully this should solve prob.

Bike was tested on a motorcycle dyno by a guy with lots of race bike experience so all should be well. Had arron soloman test bike out at matchams yesterday,he had bike really flying, said it was just bogging down trying to exit 1st corner after straight so will only go down one jet size.
